In 2021, I had the privilege to work in a production team that created an original non-scripted format, titled “Learn to Earn!”, which followed an international student in The Netherlands, trying out different jobs, and talking with both student workers, and managers at different companies, spanning from pool bars, through marketing departments, to vegan restaurants. The series premiered on Matters – a student-oriented streaming platfom.

I joined the production team for its production and post-production phases, and mainly supported with filming, and editing. Check out an example episode I edited myself below.

“Learn to earn!”’s title says it all. It is a non-scripted, human interest show which is presented by an English-speaking student hostess. The premise: She accompanies a student for one day in his or her work environment to give the audience insights into jobs that might be worth looking into. Working as a waitress, organising events or work in a kitchen. Every episode introduces a new job. One episode is around eight minutes long and the season comes as a six-part series.
